Never give anything preference before God! His love is the greatest love there is. So long as you let other things come first, He will wait. But your delay may be too long, and your suffering may be great. Don't procrastinate. Be certain in the sincerity of your conscience that you have made the effort to commune with Him. Don't rest, don't give up until you can see Him with your own eyes, or feel Him in your heart.
I see the Lord in His universe, the Master said, Viewing a beautiful tree, my heart is moved and whispers: 'He is there!' I bow to adore Him. Doesn't He permeate every atom of the earth? Could our planet exist at all except by the cohesive power of God? When we see Him in all persons, in all things; each rock becomes an altar.
A little knowledge is a dangerous thing; for the devotee may feel vain and self-satisfied; ceasing to seek profundities of the Divine. Only he who is free from the sense of self-importance becomes more and more spiritual until he is one with God. A humble devotee is lacking in vanity and pettiness.
Those who are not willing to give up all they have to find Him, will not know Him. Whoever would know God must be able to forsake all else for Him.

Learn to live simply. Lord Krishna said: “His mind is full with contentment whose desires ever flow inward. That man is like a changeless ocean which is kept brimful with constantly entering waters. He is not a muni who bores holes of desires in his reservoir of peace and lets the waters escape.
Love of the body is nothing more than love of jail. Long accustomed to living in the body, we have forgotten what real freedom means.
Know that this universe is nothing but a dream bluff of nature to test your consciousness of immortality.
It is when you persistently, selflessly perform every action with love inspired thoughts of God that He will come to you. Then you realize you are the Ocean of Life, which has become the tiny wave of each life. That is the way of knowing the Lord through activity.
The conception, that some liberated master is greater than another begets dogmatism and ignorance. In Omnipresence there is no labor foreman, no president, nor servant; no great, greater, and greatest. All are equal and one with the Spirit - a joyous conclave of Divine Amity.
Dr. M. W. Lewis, Paramhansa Yogananda's first Kriya Yoga disciple in America, once asked the Master, "Can you resolve a dilemma for me? Is liberation a state one achieves only for this Day of Brahma? Will we when Brahman manifests itself again in creation, be obliged to emerge from that oneness once more and go through the whole, long struggle again?
"Never Fear!" the Master replied. "Once the soul has achieved final freedom in Spirit, it is free forever."
Such is the aim of the Bhagavad Gita: to help the sincere seeker to find the way to perfect union with Satchidananda: ever-existing, ever-conscious, ever-new Bliss.
