The sum total is, whatever experiences you have, whether for a day or for years, it is all an illusion.
There are people in the world who do more good than all the statesmen and philanthropists put together. They radiate light and peace with no intention or knowledge. When others tell them about the miracles they worked, they also are wonder struck.
Yet, taking nothing as their own, they are neither proud, nor do they crave for reputation. They are just unable to desire anything for themselves, not even the joy of helping others knowing that God is good they are at peace.

Abiding in your own being is holy company.
Isn't it amusing that the teaching which destroys the individual is exactly what the individual wants? The answer is that there never was an individual. The knowledge comes that the individual was never there.
Time is death. Who waits, dies. Life is Now only. Do not talk to me about past and future - they exist only in your mind.
Forget me, forget the teachings, stay in the consciousness, be the consciousness, as the portal to the Absolute.
Remove the sense of separateness, and there will be no conflicts.
THE DESIRE TO DISCUSS SPIRITUALITY MUST ALSO COME TO AN END
Visitor : Sitting in Maharaj’s presence, I had a certain bodily experience. How should I understand this?
Maharaj: In trying to understand the experience, whatever significance your words and concepts give to it will be acceptable to you. But that is not knowledge.
That is why I am not very keen to ask people to stay for any extended period of time, because if you stay long you will not be able to understand. In the course of your initial eight or ten days, whatever is somewhat understood will first have to be properly digested; until then any further talks will not be absorbed. Assuming that a person is knowledgeable, then what happens is this: having left this place , he will not be able to remain alone for long. He craves company to whom he can deliver goods of spirituality. He likes to seek out somebody with whom he can talk and discuss spirituality; otherwise he feels very unhappy. Will you feel happy and satisfied if you don’t encounter other sadhakas?
A question was asked whether it was not necessary for a serious seeker to go through this stage where one likes to dole out whatever knowledge one has, to share it with others? My answer was that this is a part of the process, but that it also must come to an end, this desire to discuss and exchange views on spirituality.
The highest state is the unborn state, in which there is no experience.

The highest state is the unborn state, in which there is no experience.
Now keep quiet. Do nothing more, just keep quiet. Stop, be silent.
Right here and now, you are in the realized state. But you try to judge it through desires and mind concepts, hence your inability to apperceive it and abide in it.
When thought has no customers, thought vanishes.
It is the 'I am' that investigates the 'I am' and on realizing its falsehood it disappears and merges into eternity...
Your aims are small and low. They do not call for more. Only God's energy is infinite -- because He wants nothing for Himself. Be like Him and all your desires will be fulfilled. The higher your aims and vaster your desires, the more energy you will have for their fulfillment. Desire the good of all and the universe will work with you. But if you want your own pleasure, you must earn it the hard way. Before desiring, deserve.
You people are rich with your ideas of possession, of quantity and quality. I am completely without ideas.
BEFORE THE BEINGNESS WAS THERE,
LOOK AT THAT, BE IN THAT STATE...
You are not paying proper attention, you are talking only after this beingness appeared.
Before the beingness was there, look at that, be in that state. If you dare call me an atheist, remember that I do bhajans four
times a day.
That maya is so powerful that it gets you completely wrapped up in it.
Maya means "I Am," "I love to be." It has no identity except love.
That knowledge of "I Am" is the greatest foe and the greatest friend. Although it might be your greatest enemy, if you propitiate it properly, it will turn around and lead you to the highest state.

You want something like a round-the-clock ecstasy. Ecstasies come and go, necessarily, for the human brain cannot stand the tension for a long time. A prolonged ecstasy will burn out your brain unless it is extremely pure and subtle.
In nature nothing is at a standstill-everything pulsates, appears and disappears. Heart, breath, digestion, sleeping and waking, birth and death -everything comes and goes in waves. Rhythm, periodicity, harmonious alternation of extremes is the rule. [There is] no use rebelling against the very pattern of life. No particular thought can be the mind's natural state, only silence. Not the idea of silence but silence itself. When the mind is in it's natural state, it reverts to silence spontaneously after every experience or, rather, every experience happens against the background of silence.

The essence of saintliness is total acceptance of the present moment, harmony with things as they happen. A saint does not want things to be different from what they are; he knows that, considering all factors, they are unavoidable. He is friendly with the inevitable and, therefore, does not suffer.

What is the use of truth, goodness, harmony, beauty?
They are their own goal.
They manifest spontaneously and effortlessly, when things are left to themselves, are not interfered with, not shunned, or wanted, or conceptualized, but just experienced in full awareness, such awareness itself is sattva.
It does not make use of things and people - it fulfills them.

Any image you have of yourself is not true.
Take the idea ‘I was born’. You may take it to be true. It is not. You were not born, nor will you ever die. It is the idea that was born and shall die, not you.
By identifying yourself with it you became mortal.
By identifying yourself with it you became mortal.
Nobody suffers in a play, unless one identifies himself with it.
Don't identify yourself with the world and you will not suffer.

There is trouble only when you cling to something. When you hold on to nothing, no trouble arises. The relinquishing of the lesser is the gaining of the greater. Give up all and you gain all. Then life becomes what it was meant to be: pure radiation from an inexhaustible source. In that light the world appears dimly like a dream.
Deepen and broaden your awareness of yourself and all the blessings will flow. You need not seek anything, all will come to you most naturally and effortlessly.
Having never left the house you are looking for the way home.
Reality is easily had when nothing else is wanted.
