Compassion does not see the faults of others. It does not see the weaknesses of people. It makes no distinction between good and bad people. Compassion cannot draw a line between two countries, two faiths or two religions. Compassion has no ego; thus there is no fear, lust or passion. Compassion simply forgives and forgets. Compassion is like a passage. Everything passes through it. Nothing can stay there. Compassion is love expressed in all its fullness.
If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies in yourself.

Не тот пропал, кто в беду попал, а тот пропал, кто духом упал.
It is better to live your own destiny imperfectly, than to live an imitation of someone else's life with perfection.
You have power over your mind - not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.
If you are earnest, whatever way you choose will take you to your goal. It is the earnestness that is the decisive factor.
The single biggest thing I learned was from an indigenous elder of Cherokee descent, Stan Rushworth, who reminded me of the difference between a Western settler mindset of "I have rights" and an indigenous mindset of "I have obligations." Instead of thinking that I am born with rights, I choose to think that I am born with obligations to serve past, present, and future generations, and the planet herself.
Courage is the primary thing. With Courage, you can overcome anything. So, abandon fear and gather Courage.
The real is simple, open, clear and kind, beautiful and joyous. It is completely free of contradictions. It is ever new, ever fresh, endlessly creative.
What is independent, uncreated, timeless and changeless, and yet ever new and fresh, is beyond the mind.

The mind is a cheat. The more pious it seems, the worse the betrayal.
Days are the pages of your lifetime, so bind them with your best deeds.
Attached to nothing,
Connected to everything.
Connected to everything.
Keep me away from the wisdom which does not cry, the philosophy which does not laugh and the greatness which does not bow before children.
Just give full attention to what in you is crude and primitive, unreasonable and unkind, altogether childish, and you will ripen. It is the maturity of heart and mind that is essential. It comes effortlessly when the main obstacle is removed - inattention, unawareness. In awareness you grow.
The one who is free, is free from the psychological influence of the mind.
They don’t want anything from mind, they don’t hold on to any negative impression.
They have transcended it. As you can yourself - And will!
Because it is fixed in life that something is gonna turn up the pressure a little bit from time to time, to keep you moving. Otherwise you go to sleep, and you didn’t come to the earth to sleep. But to wake up!

Children, in the face of karmic experiences all your weapons of ego and strength are powerless unless you abandon them, following the Guru’s instructions and throw yourself down in humble surrender. You cannot escape karma. If God’s or the Guru’s Grace is with you, the arrow of karma, which has already left the bow of your past life, cannot hurt you.
JNANA ALONE IS EVERYTHING
Q: What is reality?
Ramana: Reality must be always real. It is not with forms and names. That which underlies these is the reality. It underlies limitations, being itself limitless. It is not bound. It underlies unrealities, itself being real. Reality is that which is. It is as it is. It transcends speech. It is beyond the expressions ‘existence, non-existence’, etc.
The reality which is the mere consciousness that remains when ignorance is destroyed along with knowledge of objects, alone is the Self [atma]. In that Brahma-swarupa [real form of Brahman], which is abundant Self-awareness, there is not the least ignorance. The reality which shines fully, without misery and without a body, not only when the world is known but also when the world is not known, is your real form [nija-swarupa].
The radiance of consciousness-bliss, in the form of one awareness shining equally within and without, is the supreme and blissful primal reality. Its form is silence and it is declared by jnanis to be the final and unobstructable state of true knowledge [jnana].
Know that jnana alone is non-attachment; jnana alone is purity; jnana is the attainment of God; jnana which is devoid of forgetfulness of Self alone is immortality; jnana alone is everything.

No university will teach you how to live so that when the time of dying comes, you can say: I lived well I do not need to live again. Most of us die wishing we could live again. So many mistakes committed, so much left undone. Most of the people vegetate, but do not live. They merely gather experience and enrich their memory.
People will do anything, no matter how absurd, in order to avoid facing their own soul.
To live in the known is bondage, to live in the unknown is liberation.
