The moment you completely accept your non-peace, your non-peace becomes transmuted into peace. Anything you accept fully will take you into peace. This is the miracle of surrender.
All that happens is the cause of all that happens. Causes are numberless; the idea of a sole cause is an illusion.
Meditation is one of the most extraordinary things, and if you do not know what it is you are like the blind man in a world of bright colour, shadows and moving light.
It is not an intellectual affair, but when the heart enters into the mind, the mind has quite a different quality: it is really, then, limitless, not only in its capacity to think, to act efficiently, but also in its sense of living in a vast space where you are part of everything.

Consciousness has identified itself with the individual human organism in order to create separate egos so that this life and living with the subject/object relationships may take place as lila (the divine play in phenomenality). Indeed, Consciousness first identifying itself with each individual as separate entity and then dis-identifying itself and recovering its impersonality is itself the lila. Consciousness writes the script, Consciousness produces and directs the play, Consciousness plays every role (like a one-man show) in the play, and finally Consciousness itself witnesses the play. When this situation is apperceived, no doubt of any kind remains, and all there is, is Silence. Consciousness is in its primal state of absolute rest.
And such discussions really are a joy in the being. We can surf. You can come to unending joy because one of the highest pleasures of the being is to contemplate itself in order to taste its own majesty. I don’t see what else to do. So enjoy it! Enjoy self-discovering. But higher than self-discovering is the joy of being. Either the divine pursuit or just it resting in itself.
I cannot be what I used to say I am. I just cannot be that, not because I have trained myself to become something else, but because I stopped becoming and was left simply to be what I truly Am - mySelf. You understand?
Only if one knows the truth of love, which is the real nature of Self, will the strong entangled knot of life be untied.
The experience of Self is only love, which is seeing only love, hearing only love, feeling only love, tasting only love and smelling only love, which is bliss.

No change can be made in you. No instruction whatsoever can be given to you. You were perfect even before you came here. And you will be returning absolutely perfect, without even a dent on you.
When feeling is divested of the feeler and the felt, it shines as love; when seeing is divested of the seer and the seen, it shines as beauty.
I told you that if thoughts arise to be indifferent to them. Keep quiet and make no effort and there will only be awareness of awareness. Don't repeat the things that I speak of, but have an experience.
Without the movement of thought, there is no phenomenal world.

The Self alone exists and is real. The world, the individual and God are, like the illusory appearance of silver in the mother- of-pearl, imaginary creations in the Self. They appear and disappear simultaneously. Actually, the Self alone is the world, the ‘I’ and God. All that exists is only a manifestation of the Supreme.
You see various scenes passing on a cinema screen: fire seems to burn buildings to ashes; water seems to wreck ships; but the screen on which the pictures are projected remains unburnt and dry. Why? Because the pictures are unreal and the screen real.
Similarly, reflections pass through a mirror but it is not affected at all by their number or quality.
In the same way, the world is a phenomenon upon the substratum of the single Reality which is not affected by it in any way. Reality is only One.
Talk of illusion is due only to the point of view. Change your viewpoint to that of Knowledge and you will perceive the Universe to be only Brahman. Being now immersed in the world, you see it as a real world; get beyond it and it will disappear and Reality alone will remain.

"I" is the password to log on to this world. Don't trust the software of the mind. All its files are corrupt, every thought a potential virus.

Today’s scientists have substituted mathematics for experiments, and they wander off through equation after equation, and eventually build a structure which has no relation to reality.
Now remember, you are dreaming the dream, everything is going on in the dream. In your dream there is a sky, there are flowers, there is a moon, there are people, just like the world. And the dream seems to be external from you, but if you investigate, you see the dream is all taking place in your mind. While you are dreaming you still exist as the dreamer.
And in the dream somebody comes to you and tells you, “Look, there is going to be a recession. There is going to be a failure of the banks.” And you’ve got money tied up in stocks and bonds, IRA accounts and everything else. Everything is going down. You ask, “What should I do?”
You both decide, “Lets go see Robert.” So you come to see me, and I say, “Well, you can do two things. You can take your money and we’ll build a large ashram and help others see the truth that it’s only a dream. Or give everything away to the poor, to the homeless, and you won’t have any problems.” So they both say, “What? Are you crazy?”

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart.

Ego is the movement of the mind toward objects of perception in the form of grasping, and away from objects in the form of aversion. This fundamentally is all the ego is. This movement of grasping and aversion gives rise to a sense of a separate “me,” and in turn the sense of “me” strengthens itself this way. It is this continuous loop of causation that tricks consciousness into a trance of identification. Identification with what? Identification with the continuous loop of suffering. After all, who is suffering? The “me” is suffering. And who is this me? It is nothing more than a sense of self caused by identification with grasping and aversion. You see, it’s all a creation of the mind, an endless movie, a terrible dream. Don’t try to change the dream, because trying to change it is just another movement in the dream. Look at the dream. Be aware of the dream. That awareness is It. Become more interested in the awareness of the dream than in the dream itself. What is that awareness? Who is that awareness? Don’t go spouting out an answer, just be the answer. Be It.
