The Beloved looked at me
With compassion and said,
‘How can you go on living without me?’
I said, ‘I swear, like a fish out of water.’
He said, ‘Then why do you hold so tight
to the dry land?

The scriptures speak of three Holy rivers Within.
These are Existence, Consciousness, and Bliss.
Being beyond thought or effort
they cannot be objectified or subjectified.
They are so dear, so near, behind the retina and before the breath.
You need not see This, you are it.

You need not see This, you are it.
Empty yourself of everything.
Let the mind become still.
The ten thousand things rise and fall while the Self watches their return.
They grow and flourish and then return to the source.

No personal, individual effort can possibly lead to enlightenment. On the contrary, what is necessary is to rest helpless in beingness, knowing that we are nothing - to be in the nothingness of the no-mind state in which all conceptualizing has subsided into passive witnessing. In this state whatever happens will be not our doing but the pure universal functioning to which we have relinquished all control.
It is in the nature of truth or love, cosmic consciousness, to express itself, to affirm itself, to overcome difficulties. Once you've understood that the world is love in action, consciousness or love in action, you will look at it quite differently. But first your attitude to suffering must change. Suffering is primarily a call for attention, which itself is a movement of love. More than happiness, love wants growth, the widening and deepening of awareness and consciousness and being. Whatever prevents that becomes a cause of pain, and love does not shirk from pain.
Choose the company of those withdrawn in love.
You can be aware of your being – here and now. There is nothing more to it. You were aware of thinking, feeling, doing. You were not aware of your being.
I don’t think you really understand the purpose of my dialogues here. I don’t say things simply to convince people that they are true. I am not speaking about these matters so that people can build up a philosophy that can be rationally defended, and which is free of all contradictions. When I speak my words, I am not speaking to your mind at all. I am directing my words directly at consciousness. I am planting my words in your consciousness. If you disturb the planting process by arguing about the meaning of the words, they won’t take root there. Once my words have been planted in consciousness, they will sprout, they will grow, and at the appropriate moment they will bear fruit. It’s nothing to do with you. All this will happen by itself. However, if you think about the words too much or dispute their meaning, you will postpone the moment of their fruition. Enough talking. Be quiet and let the words do their work!
To take appearance for reality is a grievous sin and the
cause of all calamities. You are the all-pervading, eternal
and infinitely creative awareness - consciousness. All else
is local and temporary. Don’t forget what you are.

…detachment towards oneself, towards things and towards persons, which should instill a calm, an incomparable certainty and even, as we have before stated, an indomitability. It is like simplifying oneself, divesting oneself in a state of waiting, with a firm, whole mind, with an awareness of something that exists beyond all existence. From this state the capacity will also be found of always being able to commence, as if ex nihilo, with a new and fresh mind, forgetting what has been and what has been lost, focusing only on what positively and creatively can still be done.
When the great man learns the Way, he follows it with diligence;
When the common man learns the Way, he follows it on occasion;
When the mean man learns the Way, he laughs out loud;
Those who do not laugh, do not learn at all.
Therefore it is said:
Who understands the Way seems foolish;
Who progresses on the Way seems to fail;
Who follows the Way seems to wander.

There is nothing wrong. Sadness is not wrong. Fear is not wrong. Confusion is not wrong. Our pain is not wrong. Resisting our pain is what makes everything seem wrong. And yet here is a deeper truth, for those who are open: even our resistance of pain is not wrong. If that’s what’s happening, it cannot be wrong. It is a valid expression of life in the moment. Beyond ‘right’ and ‘wrong’. This love even embraces resistance. This Now is vast, and forgiving. Yet even ‘resistance’ is just another concept. Another judgement. Another way to make ourselves wrong. “Resistance bad. Acceptance good.” That’s what we learn. It’s not that we “resist” our pain. We just never learned how to be with it. How to sit with it. Stay with it. Have a cup of tea with it. See it as a beloved friend, at home in the vastness. Our ignorance is our innocence. We just never learned. Our pain is not wrong. It is an invitation. An ancient teaching. Universal. Free. Life invites us to come closer… Falling through imagined layers… Into great mystery…
Never forget that life is a blessing. A rare opportunity. When the illusion seems real, look up at the sun and remember who you are. Remember what is within you. And in this, be joyful.
Rather than being your
thoughts and emotions,
be the awareness behind them.
thoughts and emotions,

Only when you possess or attain something
does the concept and fear of losing arise.
Only Self cannot be lost.
If you have attained peace,
mind will come back; just let it come
just watch from where it arises.
Allow the mind to run, but directing it to Now,
do not let it land in the graveyard of the past.
Clinging to the past is keeping evil association.
When you meditate all these patterns will leave you.
The trick is to keep full attention on who wants to meditate,
because when the house is full, the thieves will not enter.
Don't expect and do not search and you will find it.

KINDNESS
Kindness in words creates confidence.
Kindness in thinking creates profoundness.
Kindness in giving creates love.

What is here?
Don't go into any direction now, because in any direction you go, the world is there and you say: ‘No, I don’t want to go there, I am already coming from there.’
Don't do anything now.
It is not a doing.
You have been doing enough already.
You are here. Simply abandon all intentions and remain quiet.
And don't go into your head.
Don't let him trouble you.
You have passed him now.
‘Stuck’ is only something to do with your mind.
There is something that can never be stuck.
It doesn't know this word or concept.
It can never go anywhere.
It's earlier than any concept
and it is timeless.
The waking state does not touch it.
The dream state does not effect it.
The deep sleep state does not alter it.
It is you, your real nature and being.
And It does not have to appear with the sound of trumpets.
It does not have to come on a sunny day.
It cannot leave, because it did not come.
It is timelessly here.
This, It is revealing.
It is revealed.
It is revealing itself to itself in the form of pure Being.
Know, you are This.

Peace is the inner nature of humankind. If you find it within yourself, you will then find it everywhere.
One who has wisely chosen the straight path of Self-inquiry,
can never go astray... for like the bright, clear Sun...the
Self-Awareness reveals itself to whomever turns towards it.
can never go astray... for like the bright, clear Sun...the
Self-Awareness reveals itself to whomever turns towards it.
If the meditator or the identity that is meditating is observable, what observes it?...and the answer I don't want...allow the question some space to happen...and to open up in you...don't say the answer...experience your findings..
The obstacles to the clear perception of one's true being are desire for pleasure and fear of pain...its the pleasure-pain motivation that stands in the way...giving up desire after desire is a lengthy process with the end never in sight...leave alone your desires and fears...give your entire attention to the subject, to him who is behind the experience of desire and fear...Ask...who desires?...let each desire bring you back to yourself...
Whoever dies or is lost, what is that to you? Die yourself and lose yourself, becoming one with love...
Whatever you think about with desire or fear appears before you as real. Look at it without desire or fear and it does lose substance. Pleasure and pain are momentary. It is simpler and easier to disregard them than to act on them.
As your ‘Sadhana’ (practice) matures, your conviction grows stronger and you get firmly established in the ‘I am’. That is to say, you are permanently established in the ‘Turiya’ or the fourth state. In this state there are no thoughts or words, everywhere there is only the ‘I am’, you are everything and everything is you. When you abide thus, the stage is set for your transcending the ‘I am’. Ultimately that too goes, leaving you as the Absolute or ‘Parabrahman’.
Whatever comes let it come,
whatever stays let stay, what goes let go,
always keep quiet, and always adore Self:
this is the essence of living skillfully
in the world of appearance.
During all activities of life
is to accept whatever comes
and not care about what does not come.
Things will come so enjoy them and be happy
Let the play happen by the Supreme Power;
you will be taken care of.
Be free to be happy, love has no traps.
If you are happy all will be happy,
if you suffer, all will suffer,
if your mind smells bad others will be affected.
Keep yourself happy in peace, Light, Wisdom, Consciousness
This is your responsibility.
Be happy and have compassion
and live hand and hand with nature.
This makes birth worthwhile.
Start from Heart and see that all arises from Heart.
Always do this, Always be This.

D.: Which time is most suitable for meditation?
M.: What is time?
D.: Tell me what it is!
M.: Time is only an idea. There is only the Reality. Whatever you think it is, it looks like that. If you call it time, it is time. If you call it existence, it is existence, and so on. After calling it time, you divide it into days and nights, months, years, hours, minutes, etc. Time is immaterial for the Path of Knowledge. But some of these rules and discipline are good for beginners.
D.: What is Jnana Marga?
M.: Concentration of the mind is in a way common to both Knowledge and Yoga. Yoga aims at union of the individual with the universal, the Reality. This Reality cannot be new. It must exist even now, and it does exist. Therefore the Path of Knowledge tries to find out how viyoga (separation) came about. The separation is from the Reality only.
D.: What is illusion?
M.: To whom is the illusion? Find it out. Then illusion will vanish.
Generally people want to know about illusion and do not examine to whom it is. It is foolish. Illusion is outside and unknown. But the seeker is considered to be known and is inside. Find out what is immediate, intimate, instead of trying to find out what is distant and unknown.
