However deep your
Knowledge of the scriptures,
It is no more than a strand of hair
In the vastness of space;
However important appears
Your worldly experience,
It is but a drop of water in a deep ravine.

'It is an instruction from Kuppamal: "Serve the sadhus, you will be 100 times served by that." Now I can say, I am the most served living Guru on planet earth, most attended, most literally physically worshipped. The whole thing is just because of the Sadhu Seva I did. Never miss serving elderly sadhus, especially when you know they are honest sadhus, sincere sadhus, they might be enlightened or unenlightened, in various levels of samadhi, but if you know they are sincere, never miss serving them.'

Don't fight with anything in creation, nothing is wrong with emotion, only don't tie yourself to good or bad.
Don't cling to anything.
There is no commandment: 'Thou shalt not feel.'
Feelings belong to the totality...like everything else in manifestation, they have their place, leave them there.
Even if you could embrace the entire universe, it would not add up to your Self...nothing does.
Be very clear about this...

A man with no thoughts in the mind is emitting rays of peace and love! Everyone is attracted to the person who has no concept in the mind.

Just keep quiet and see what happens. All nature will love you. You will be better taken care of than by your own mother who gave birth to you and put you in all this trouble.

But this other mother -- consciousness, if you know that she is your original mother -- she will take care of you and give you peace and happiness and deathlessness also. No other mother can give you this. Deathlessness in eternity. This mother we do not recognize, and we get into trouble.

When you love, you love all beings. When you eat, everybody is eating off your plate, even the beings who have died, and the ones who are yet to be. When you see, all the eyes collected together are seeing through this retina.

Every decision you make for your future from the past pattern, you denied that component of life for yourself once for all. If you think creating wealth is difficult based on some of your past failure, you have denied the possibility of wealth for you once for all. If you think health is not possible for you in the future due to your past diseases, you denied the greatest possibility of health in your life once for all. If you think Enlightenment is impossible for you based on your past failures, you have denied the possibility of Enlightenment once for all in your life. Understand, whenever you deny the possibility, you deny your future, you deny your life to you. Anything is possible! Rewriting your future starts with this clarity: anything is possible!

Enlightened being is a person who is literally enlightened in his very core. His very cognition is built on the highest possibility - knowledge, truth, clarity.
So understand, if somebody intellectually understands the spiritual truths, truths about life, he will be able to give you an intellectual understanding.
If somebody is emotionally excited about this great ideas, he will be able to emotionally excite you with that same great ideas.
But only if somebody is enlightened, somebody’s being, core being cognition, is established in these great ideas, he will be able to transmit that experience to you.

Abrahamic religions teach you you are qualitatively different from the Cosmic Will, which is not true; you are quantitatively different from the Cosmic Will; you are part of the Cosmic Will. We are made to feel in life like we are asking too much when we want to manifest or create something from our own will, but the truth is that when we create ourselves as we want to be, the very Cosmos celebrates our decision to go beyond our karma patterns. We are not made for suffering and limitation; we are here to expansion and to be our highest possibility.

Subhuti asked the Buddha: "The highest, most awakened mind that you have attained is that mind the unattainable?"

"Yes, Subhuti. With regard to that highest and most awakened mind, I have not attained anything. That mind is everywhere equally. it cannot be attained or grasped, but it can be realized. It is realized through the practice of all good actions when they are done in the spirit of no self and no object of self."

1.1 HOMAGE TO THE ABSOLUTE REALITY, the source and the embodiment of bliss, the supreme consciousness, here termed as She, the Mother, who is both the magnificent image of the universe and the mirror in which this dazzling reflection appears.
7.89-92 Consciousness is transcendental and is beyond all three sates of mind — waking, dreaming, and deep sleep — and is named Tripura. Though this universe is inseparable from her, it appears to be separate and the same as Visnu and Siva. Therefore you should not consider them different. They are one and the same. The entire universe is a reflection of pure consciousness. Consciousness is non-dual. Therefore, there is nothing superior or inferior.
14.43-49: The whole universe is always encompassed by light within and without. Such light is transcendental and is called the supreme Tripura, the supreme goddess. Knowers of the Vedas call her Brahman and Vaisnaivites call her Vishnu. According to Saivites, she is Siva; according to Shaktas, she is Shakti, As the image is pervaded by the mirror, this world is pervaded by the power of consciousness. All the objects in this universe are illuminated by that light. As the image of a city is not part of the mirror, similarly the universe is not part of consciousness. As an image cannot be separated from the mirror, the universe cannot be separated from consciousness. This is the glory of the real self.

The first twenty minutes immediately after we wake up in the morning, plays a vital role in shaping our entire day. The mood we are in, the thoughts that arise and the way we react to these thoughts during the first twenty minutes, sets the trend for our entire day. One way to wake up refreshed, without depression every morning, is to eat vegetarian food. To many Western people it might come as a surprise to know that there is a finer aspect to vegetarian food. This refinement helps the energy flow in our body. This pure food is called satvic food. When we adhere to a satvic vegetarian diet, we do not consume garlic, onions, or green chilies (jalapeno peppers) in any form.

It keeps us light and active throughout the day. ‘Why should we avoid these foods? Garlic, onion, and green chilies contain natural steroids in them. They are ideal medicines.’ We can inject them as medicines, but not as a regular part of our meals. Daily intake of these as food will bring down our energy flow. Similarly, tea and coffee are not good for our system as they actually over-stimulate our body and leave us tired. Now you know why people run for a caffeine fix! Meat, alcohol, and cigarettes are considered lethargy inducing items. These foods or habits induce laziness in us. Using these substances make us dull and disturb the energy flow in our body. These foods create a feeling of depression in the morning. It is possible to support the cause for vegetarianism only from the point of view of practicality.

A spiritual point of view will provide a better understanding of the significance of vegetarian food. If an enlightened, spiritual master declares that vegetarianism is the best, then it is the ultimate truth. The master knows from experience. For every other argument we have strong counter arguments. It is in my personal experience that vegetarian food allows more sensitivity and ecstasy in the energy flow that happens in your system. We feel light and ecstatic with this diet. Definitely.,vegetarian food is better for people who wants to live a healthier life.

To have Samadrishti (equanimity) is supreme. The world is crazy about the illusory; craze for the subtle is rare. Amongst tens of thousands, there is only one who is genuinely crazed about the subtle, to the others there are sixteen crazy obsessions at each moment. That one wants this, one wants that, this is different and thatbm is different, these are the various kinds of crazinesses. To have multiplicity of imaginations is craziness; fickelness is craziness. Mountains (greatness) is craziness. To undertake Sadhana (religious ordeal) is craziness, Jeevanmukti (Life liberation) is craziness, those who refuse to perceive this as such, are grossly crazy; each one has a different kind of craze. The, millions, houses, diamonds, jewels, gold, farmlands- one does’nt loose them when one doesn’t have them and one does not possess them even when they are gained who are always one with Brahman are the Brahmacharies. Such a man may even belong to a pariah caste. One does not become a Swami by simply holding an ascetic’s wand in hand or by holding a copy of the Bhagavad Gita. Nor by putting on red clothes, nor by discussing God with whomsoever he meets.

THE VERY PURPOSE OF RELIGION
IS TO CONTROL YOURSELF,
NOT TO CRITICIZE OTHERS.
RATHER, WE MUST CRITICIZE
OURSELVES. HOW MUCH AM
I DOING ABOUT MY ANGER?
ABOUT MY ATTACHMENT,
ABOUT MY HATRED, ABOUT MY PRIDE,
MY JEALOUSY?
THESE ARE THE THINGS WHICH
WE MUST CHECK IN DAILY LIFE.

TAKING YOUR OWN BODY AND
MIND AS THE LABORATORY,
ENGAGE IN SOME THROUGH GOING
RESEARCH ON YOUR OWN
MENTAL FUNCTIONING,
AND EXAMINE THE POSSIBILITY OF
MAKING SOME POSITIVE CHANGES
WITHIN YOURSELF.

Welcome the lion on your path.
Because until then, you are planning a tomorrow you don’t have, a next week that nobody promises and all of this.
And our minds are full of the noise of otherness.
What will bring you to this instant this moment?
When will you spend one moment to be just you?
Not carrying some message for tomorrow or something...You see?
And it’s the habit that all of us, we have it...and so we are full of noise, claustrophobic with noise.
What will strip you back to that place? beyond time and intention, you see.
How far are you from this place now?
What’s left to do?
What unfinished business is left to do before you can simply be your being, be yourself.
Because the mind is not going to have a holiday.
There is something that is not in the next moment, not in the past moment also.
Don’t look anywhere to find it, even your very search to find it is already arising in it.
We are missing the obvious.
Don’t seek help from your mind.

Each cell as it dies, leaves behind a memory that the newly created cell follows. That is the bio-memories, saṁskāras within us. The saṁskāras ensures the continuation of a pattern despite complete changes in the body-mind system. These saṁskāras are more powerful than the rest of the body-mind system. It decides and drives. The deep sleep we go into everyday is a rehearsal of our death process. We die and are reborn. Our subtle body leaves the gross body and returns reenergized if we allow it to. It is in our hands to maximize this process of rejuvenation that happens automatically everyday.Through meditation we can clear our saṁskāras and be reborn. We can change our features, our character and behavior, all by reprogramming our saṁskāras. That is why people radiate grace after they start meditation. Beauty is created by make-up. Grace is radiated by meditation. Grace makes the occupant feel at home. It soothes the atmosphere. Beauty creates excitement. Beauty moves the other person into rajas (restlessness). Grace creates calmness, satva. Grace puts the other person in energy.
People reminisce about great Masters like Raamaṇa Mahaṛṣi and say that He imparted wisdom through silence. It is the Enlightened Master’s grace that penetrates the other person’s energy and changes that person’s saṁskaras. All that we need to do in an Enlightened Master’s presence is just be, be open and silent and allow the Master’s eternal grace to penetrate us. There is nothing that we need to do. The Master’s grace does whatever is needed.

Some say my teaching is nonsense. Others call it lofty but impractical. But to those who have looked inside themselves, this nonsense makes perfect sense. And those who put it into practice this loftiness has roots that go deep. I have just three things to teach: Simplicity, patience, compassion. These three are your greatest treasures. Simple in actions and in thoughts, you return to the source of being. Patient with both friends and enemies You accord with the way things are, Compassionate towards yourself, you reconcile all beings in the world.

Both light and shadow are the dance of Love.
Love has no cause, it is the astrolabe of God's secrets.
Lover and loving are inseparable and timeless.
Although I may try to describe love,
when I experience it, I am speechless.
Although I may try to write about love, I am rendered helpless.
My pen breaks, and the paper slips away
at the ineffable place where lover loving and loved are one.
Every moment is made glorious by the light of Love.

Q: What instructions have the Masters everywhere given for dhyana-practice and the study of the Dharma?
A: Words used to attract the dull of wit are not to be relied on.
Q: If those teachings were meant for the dull-witted, I have yet to hear what Dharma has been taught to those of really high capacity.
A: If they are really men of high capacity, where could they find people to follow? If they seek from within themselves, they will find nothing tangible; how much less can they find a Dharma worthy of their attention elsewhere! Do not look to what is called the Dharma by preachers, for what sort of Dharma could that be?
Q: If that is so, should we not seek for anything at all?
A: By conceding this, you would save yourself a lot of mental effort.
Q: But in this way everything would be eliminated. There cannot just be nothing.
A: Who called it nothing? Who was this fellow? But you wanted to SEEK for something.
Q: Since there is no need to seek, why do you also say that not everything is eliminated?
A: Not to seek is to rest tranquil. Who told you to eliminate anything? Look at the void in front of your eyes. How can you produce it or eliminate it?
Q: If I could reach this Dharma, would it be like the void?
A: Morning and night I have explained to you that the Void is both One and Manifold. I said this as a temporary expedient, but you are building up concepts from it.
Q: Do you mean that we should not form concepts as human beings normally do?
A: I have not prevented you; but concepts are related to the senses; and, when feeling takes place, wisdom is shut out.
Q: Then should we avoid any feeling in relation to the Dharma?
A: Where no feeling arises, who can say that you are right?
Q: Why do you speak as though I was mistaken in all the questions I have asked Your Reverence?
A: You are a man who doesn't understand what is said to him. What is all this about being mistaken?

VASISTHA: They who are fully awakened, who are constantly engaged in samadhi and who are thoroughly enlightened, are known as samkhya-yogi. They who have reached the state of bodiless consciousness through pranayama, etc. are known as yoga yogi. Indeed, the two are essentially the same. The cause of this world-appearance and bondage is indeed the mind. Both these paths lead to the cessation of the mind. Hence, by the devoted and dedicated practice of either the cessation of the movement of prana or the cessation of thought, liberation is attained. This is the essence of all scriptures dealing with liberation.

RAMA: O sage, if the cessation of the movement of prana is liberation, then death is liberation! And all people attain liberation at death!

VASISTHA: O Rama, when prana is about to leave the body, it already makes contact with those elements with which the next one is to be fashioned. These elements are indeed the crystallization of the vasana (psychological conditioning, memory-store, past impressions and predisposition) of the jiva, the reason why the jiva clings to those elements. When the prana leaves the body, it takes with it all the vasana of the jiva.
Not indeed until these vasana have been destroyed will the mind become no-mind. The mind does not abandon the life-force till self-knowledge arises. By self-knowledge the vasana are destroyed and thus the mind, too; it is then that the prana does not move. That indeed is supreme peace. It is by self-knowledge that the unreality of the concepts concerning worldly objects is realized. This puts an end to vasana and to the link between the mind and the life-force. Vasana constitute mind. Mind is the aggregate of the vasana and nothing else; if the latter cease, that itself is the supreme state. Knowledge is the knowledge of reality. Vicara or inquiry itself is knowledge.
Total dedication to one thing, restraint of prana and the cessation of the mind—if one of these three is perfected, one attains the supreme state. The life-force and the mind are closely related, like a flower and its fragrance or sesame seed and oil. Hence, if the movement of thought in the mind ceases, the movement of prana ceases, too. If the total mind is one-pointedly devoted to a single truth, the movement of mind and therefore of life-force ceases. The best method is to inquire into the nature of the self, which is infinite. Your mind will be completely absorbed —then both the mind and the inquiry will cease. Remain firmly established in what remains after that.
When the mind does not crave for pleasure, it is absorbed into the self, along with the life-force. Ignorance is non-existence; self knowledge is the supreme state! Mind alone is ignorance when it appears to be a reality; the realization of its non-existence is the supreme state. If the mind remains absorbed even for a quarter of an hour, it undergoes a complete change, for it tastes the supreme state of self-knowledge and will not abandon it. Nay, even if the mind has tasted it for a second, it does not return to this worldly state. The very seeds of samsara (world-appearance or cycle of birth and death) are fried. With them, ignorance is dispelled and the vasana are utterly pacified; one who has reached this is rooted in satva (truth). He beholds the inner light and rests in supreme bliss.
